Where to Find Free Vintage Images
When making projects, especially if you are on a budget, you often really want to find free vintage images. Perhaps you want things that look like actual vintage ephemera for your next junk journal project. Or maybe you want a simple rose for your next decoupage project. Perhaps you make your own papers, and want images to use. Or perhaps you are into collage or cardmaking. Whatever your reason, sometimes you need vintage images. Here are some of my favorite go-to sites. Please note that not everything on either site is really in the public domain, so do your own research and always read the terms and conditions.Â
My first site is TuckDB Ephemera. They have a wonderful collection of various old cards, paper toys, and various fussy cuts. While some items are old enough to be in the public domain, others are newer. Here are some of my favorites:Â
The next site is related. This site specializes in postcards. Again, most are in the public domain, but do you own research. Here are some really pretty ones.Â
The next site I recommend is Rawpixel. This is not an entirely free site. They have a paid subscription plan, but even with a free plan you can download and use their public domain content. They also have a wonderful feature that allows you to create boards and save images to them for later use!
